(12 lectures) Kinetics, thermodynamics and selectivity: Transition state theory, Kinetics Experiments, Substituent effect on rates and equilibrium, Linear - free energy relationship, Selectivity (8 lectures) Solvent and solution properties: Empirical scale of solvent effects. (3 lectures) Acid - Base catalysis. (3 lectures) Investigation of organic reaction mechanism.
